Digital transformation expert with a focus on the healthcare sector, Paolo Locatelli is scientific officer for Digital Innovation in Healthcare Observatory at Politecnico di Milano – School of Management. He is Head of Digital Innovation Unit, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano where he manages several digital innovation projects for companies and public administrations. He is mentor at PoliHub – Innovation District and Startup Accelerator – where he managed some call for ideas in the healthcare sector (Hacking Health Italy, Hackaton 4 Ophthalmology). Since 2005, he has served as a contract professor of Information Systems and Process Reengineering at Politecnico di Milano. He is also co-director of the Executive Master in Innovation Management in Healthcare (EMGIS) at MIP – business school of Politecnico di Milano. Since 1998 he has worked on information systems in SMEs (ERP, eCommerce, …) and public administrations (wokflow management, business intelligence, …), on process reengineering and on mobile devices and RFID traceability platforms innovation. He has also been involved in defining regional guidelines for Hospital Information Systems and Electronic Medical Records on behalf of the Lombardy Region.
