Tackling Health Inequalities: Levelling-up Beyond COVID-19

The pandemic has catapulted the world into a new digital age while bringing the consequences of pre-existing health inequalities into sharp focus. It is a sad fact that almost from the point of conception, we start life on very different trajectories – with healthy life expectancies vastly differing. HIMSS’s vision is to realise the full health potential of every human, everywhere. How can we achieve this through harnessing the power of information and technology – without technology itself becoming an amplifier of health inequalities? How can nations build back fairer, more equitable health systems as we move beyond Covid-19? This session will explore solutions bridging health inequalities and the role of data and technology in building more equitable health systems.
