Good morning from Germany: Focus on DiGA: Fast-Tracking Mobile Apps Adoption

The difference in speed and agility between the mobile app developers´ community and the organizations in charge of evaluating, approving and reimbursing the use of these digital health solutions around the world is quite often astonishing. This session will capture how the implementation of DiGa (or “apps on prescription”) aims to fast-track the adoption process of digital health applications and transform mainstream care in Germany, with a reimbursement system that will fuel a new wave of innovations. Following a presentation from the Health Innovation Hub (hih) and Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) of the DiGA Fast Track Framework, DiGA manufacturers will join the conversation to share key opportunities and learnings from the recently implemented Framework and share their experience of the first few months of their applications being prescribed and reimbursed by the German health system.
