Combining Digital with Compassionate Care

The past year has proven to be the biggest test of translating compassionate care into practice, with the challenges of the pandemic, patients in isolation and separated from their loved ones at critical moments, and a traumatic frontline crisis impeding the normal delivery of care. Healthcare leaders had to rapidly redesign care delivery models. With the emergence of new digital health solutions and an increased transition to virtual care, clinicians are now able to remotely deliver quality care, even with high-complexity patients. How do we make sure the use of these digital tools is preserving a human to human and compassionate connection between clinicians and patients? In this session we will hear from best-selling author Christie Watson, and other influential healthcare experts, on how clinicians can continue to deliver excellent care, despite the challenges of new and sometimes disruptive pathways, with the required level of compassion to ensure patients truly remain at the heart of health and care.
